Dear Kent it's me Ali Sammour.. I did recently see a change in you but I had no clue it had anything to do with religious beliefs.. I guess I should say "Congratulations" because of all the pain you wen through to get to the point ou are in now.
I enjoyed your sermon yesterday, and Advent Musings I read today. I agree we must daily examine ourselves and see where we need to apologize, or mend fences, or be more loving. Sometimes, for me, it is difficult to step out of my "comfort zone."
Thank you for the thought and research and energy you put into your sermons each week. Barbara Hess

I can still hear David's voice saying what you've just quoted. When I first came to FBC and joined the singles group, of which David was also a member at the time, I thought, "who is this old guy with a ponytail who wears tank tops to church"? But when I got to know him, I was humbly reminded how wrong it is to judge someone, especially based on his outward appearance. He was a very special guy with such a sweet spirit, even as he faced death.

Dear Kent,

Much like you I was baptised in a Baptist Church when I was 12 years old after my mother died during world war II. However I didn't discover Jesus until I was married and a father of three. I understand your loneliness and emptyness of life when God took away your school friend. However now you understand at your young age that God allows things to happen according to His plans so your life may be enriched.
You lost a friend so you may become aware that you have your closest friend ever in Jesus. It took me much longer to realise it.

Congratulations on this your baptism. Glory be to God. May He bless your life ever more.

By the way, I am close to 79 years old and a close friend of your Grandparents the Adams.

Love & Best Wishes,

James H.G. Khouw

Dear Kent,

I am your grandparents' friend at GKI Kepa Duri Church. I am very proud of you despite of your young age you have made a major and substantial decision of your own in your life to follow Christ. Be faithful in serving the Lord, though difficulties may come.

Norm,
What a great adventure. I am so glad that you had this awesome experience and that you related to trusting in Christ and listening to His voice. What a wonderful illustration.

Norm, I have been working on my "bucket list" since 1983, when I found out about my heart condition (not life threatening, but a great surprise). I have been to Europe; visited many places I had wanted to see; ridden in a little 4 seat airplane; ridden in a glider; ridden in a balloon; swum in many waters; tried boogy boarding; remarried; made peace with my younger daughter; prayed more; worried less; and am learning to laugh with and at myself and my faux pax (sp?). Making gratitude lists each night. Life is good; God is great!

A couple weeks ago 2 men died in a car accident on murray rd. the next 2 days I could not drive past the sight without crying wondering if they knew Jesus. We had a visitor at church the sunday before who is a christian hip hop artist,I bought a couple of his cds and on 1 of them he talks about 3 different scenarios.2 incidents people die and the 3rd the gun doesn't go off and the person avoids being killed. The chorus to the song would play in my head as I passed the crash sight and now as I read this article,it goes " I didn't even have time to be saved,I didn't even have time to say Jesus name,I didn't have time because it happened so quick,I didn't even have time now I'm stuck in the pit."You are so right Norm when you say " we have lost our sense of urgency " We are the ones who need to point peiople to Jesus, because who else is going to do it!!
